I was asked to pay the property tax from the date of registration whereas Occupation certificate was given 3 years later. I have filed an RTI to get the policies from when we should be filing the tax. Is it from the date of registration or the Ocupation certificate. They have called me for discussion where I came to know that there is no such thing documented but BBPM aggred that I am suppose to file a tax from the date when RC (Electric meter) was installed or the Occupation certificate was issue which ever is issued erlier.
In my case as both RC as well as OC came much later then registration, BBMP aggred to refund the amount during discussion. Later there is no communication from BBMP.
I have already sent the notice to revenue officer who has called for discussion but there is no response after the notice period is over.
Can I file a consumer court case against BBMP or I have to file the civil case in this regard.
