I have passed LL.B. in 2009 and got enrolled as an advocate with West Bengal Bar Council in May 2010. Am I required to take Bar Council Exam to start practice in Calcutta High Court?

Dear Ujjeevan,
The answer is negative as the exam is stipulated for new entrants before they are granted licence not post registration.

since you have already been granted the enrollment no, you dont need to sit for the exam.
also, the said exam scheduled to take place in Dec, 2010.
