BUILDERS REGISTERING ONLY UDS

Hi, As are many others, I too am buying a flat from one of the major builder / promoters in Chennai. However during registration, they are only registering the UDS (undivided share of land) for me. There is no mention anywhere of the name of the apartment, built up area, car park or other details.....

They have separately given a sale agreement and construction agreement on Rs.20 non judicial paper whchih gives exact apartment details, car park, fixtures etc.

However I have seen in Karnataka that the entire apartment area along with car park, apartment details etc are mentioned in the registration document.

By registering only UDS, am I missing something? Will there be any problems in future during resale or redevelopment? Do I have to specifically query the builder whether he himself is retaining any UDS in the land himself (for any future purposes etc?)

Thanks in advance for your reply. (Please forgive me if i've asked a repeat question - I'm a first time user of this forum)
