Any Exception in Mohameddan law

Orphaned grandchildren are entitle for any share in their grandmother’s property under Sunni Mohameddan law due Doctrine of representation,As under Mohameddan law heirs who are alive at the time of death of the parent are the only ones entitle for share in their parents property they cannot be represented by their childrens(ie Grand children of property holder?

Is there any exception for this, Like if the grandmother is survived only by daughters and Orphaned grandchildren consist of a grand son ?..

Thanks
