Am i eligible for selection in upsc exam

Dear Madam/Sir, I have been accused in a student agitation case since 2005. I was arrested along with 65 students and kept in Tihar for 5 days and then got bail. til now we have been attending court dates since 8 years. AM I ELIGIBLE FOR WRITING/SELECTION in UPSC exam? Please let me know the future course for this case.

The criminal trial is pending against you. You are not convicted person. There,fore, you have a right to apply provided you are answering the eligibility to apply. However, if there is a clause in the application about the court case, disclose the same. Do not conceal the fact.

I found an interesting case where supreme court relived a convicted person to join IAS. He's Mr. Ashok rai convicted on charge of rape and imprisoned for 5 years.
