Am I entitled to overtime/compensatory leave for working on Jan 15, 08

I am located in Bangalore, workin in an IT company. We worked on 15 Jan. 2008 which was declared holiday according to Negotiable Instruments Act by Karnataka govt. Am I entitled to overtime/compensatory leave?

It depends on the leave policy of your company.

You need to know about your company's leave policy.  Legally, there is no obligation to give a compensatory holiday in such cases.
