Additions to common areas in a codominium

We are a Condominium in Pune , under the Maharastra Apartment Ownership Act. Some Residents want to install PNG Gas pipelines by ignoring normal safety norms , under GOI guidlines which recommend not having the Gas pipelines pass overhead through normal walkways , or having the Gas Meter within the Kitchen area . The MGNL people finds no problem in ignoring these guidlines, and say everywhere it is done. There is a large number of Residents who don't care for the Safety norms and are only advocating the so called reduced Gas Price. While some don't want to go through the project . Being a Condominium , and all Residents having equal shares in the Common Areas .Can the BOM push this issue through and go ahead and install the pipelines within Common areas without taking sanction form All Owners.

Here we have to see the resolution passed by the society authorities in connection to this issue. And even after the resolution is passed, if it is not in the interest or the safety of the society, it can be challenged. Send a legal notice to the society board along with the copy to the Dy. commissioner of the Societies in Pune nad also a copy to the PMC authorities.
