Absconding after first day of joining

Hi,

I've joined an IT company. But due to some unexpected circumstances, I've to abscond from the next day of joinnig. I didn't get ID card or other assets from the company, but I've given my certificate copies. There is no service bond with the company. Is there any possibility for legal action from the company. Please Help..!

Thanks In Advance

Why would a company do anything to you if you have not harmed the company in any possible manner. It would anyday cost them more than they must have had a loss from your job of one day.

Thank you so much for the quick response. So can I send a mail to the HR to inform the same? Or Is that not required?

Thanks

you should as a gentleman resign.  Otherwise employee-employer relations stands established.
