I sent demand notice for dishonour of 2cheques of RS 5 lacs each. upon getting the notice the accused paid RS 5 lacs through rtgs. Now can I file case against him for balance RS 5 lacs relying upon the notice already received by him. plz suggest.

yes, if you have mentioned both the cheques detail in the statutory legal notice, then you can file the case for the balance cheque amount.
