Time limit for legal recourse in case of harassment

My daughter got married in December 2021 and gave birth to a daughter in October 2022. Just a month before the delivery, the inlaws got all her jewellary etc. in their custody and deliberately tortured her mentally and rang us up to take her home. Her husband even confiscated her cell phone (later released), checked all the messages and forebade her from keeping in touch from people he does'nt like. He however visited the hospital during delivery and bore part of the expenses as they will be reimbursed by his office. When my daughter requested him to bring alteast one set of jewellery to be worn on child's function to be held at our hose and on diwali, he just made some excuses and did not do so.When we wanted to go to their place to offer sweets etc on Diwali, they just refused and father in law did not even respond to my Diwali wishes on whatsapp. Husband has also left our family whatsapp group Now my querry is that upto what time we can wait safely before initiating any legal action without compromising our right to all the jewellery and compensation, in case matters go from bad to worse, as we still want to give some more chance time for the relationship to heal and recover.

Formation of trust

I want to form a trust to take care of earnings from my estate after my death and use it for taking care of my invalid, wheelchair bound, physically and mentally challenged spastic son. I have one daughter but I dont trust her. All my nephews and nieces are settled abroad and may not be able to meet for meetings etc. Moreover all of them are senior to my son and may not outlive him. Who else can I make trusties outside of family for the purpose?

Malfunctioning of nokia lumia handset

I had bought a Nokia Lumia 710 which is still in guaranttee period. Since very first day it has been giving trouble like internet malfunctioning.

It being a high tech product it is difficult for a lay man like me to understand the problem and both the handset manufacturer- Nokia and service provider-Airtel keep on shifting the blame on one another.

Kindly advise regarding the remedy so that technicians from both the parties (Nokia and Airtel)can be made to sit together to solve the problem and responsibility can be fixed and problem sorted out.

Property on rent

I have rented out my house under 11 months tenancy agreement, which has been renewed twice to the same party.
My tenants have got many documents like voter identity card and bank accounts made on my residential address using rent agreements of respective years as adress proofs.Under the circumstances I assume that they can easily prove their continued occupancy of my premises as tenants in all previous years in case any dispute arises regarding evacuation etc.
Under the circumstances is their any use of getting seperate agreements signed for 11 months duration for each year of tenancy? What safe guards should I incorporate in future agreements to prevent any legal hassle in getting my property vacated whenever I wish.
Thanks!

Liability of mediclaim company to preinform various ceilings

Is corporate mediclaim company liable to give me information regarding eligibility ceiling for seperate heads?
I mean financial limits on various heads like medicines,Dr.'fee ,room rent etc. in advance to enable me to select an affordable hospital within my policy limits.
They are telling me to first get the proposal sent by the hospital then they will let them know what is permissible and what is not.I do not think it is fair.

capital gains tax

I had bought a flat for for Rs.82000 in Aug'94 and sold the same for Rs.9,55,000 in March'11.
Meanwhile I had started construction of a new house on a pre-owned plot of land in October'08 solely relying on the sale proceeds of the flat to meet out the cost of construction. The sale of flat however took a long time to mature. I expect to complete the construction sometimes in june'11.
Can I adjust the capital gains tax acrued against the cost of construction and claim exemptions? Are their any special exemptions available to me being a lady?
