I just want to confirm that whether the judge asks the husband whether he wants to stay with his wife or girlfriend. If so in which circumstances does this happen?

Sir,
Thank you for your valuable advice.A person wants to give divorce to his wife, can he be asked whether he wants to live with his wife or his girlfriend and if he says he wants to live with his GF, will Hon. Court permit him to do so, without his wife's consent and if she objects, what will be the cause of action?
