What are the requirements to become a notary in India?

My client had a motor accident last month i.e 18/8/08. The accused to settle the matter and to avoid litigation and police complaint issued a cheque to my client. Now my client has deposited the cheque and it has bounced.
My query is can the payment by accused to my client be termed as debt?
Can my client still make police complaint of the said accident?

Dear All
My client has given a loan to a person of Rs.50000 by cheque. She is a house wife and rarely lends money. Now the borrower has issued a cheque to her which has bounced. she want to file a case under sec. 138 of NI Act.
The query is whether she is required to be registered as money lender under the Bombay Money Lenders Act?

My company has obtained a execution decree from company court against 'xyz' company. My company has filed execution petition in civil court in mumbai. The 'xyz' company has filed a petition in Mumbai High Court contending that the civil court does not have the jurisdiction to entertain the same. Is the contention of 'xyz'company tenable.

what is the stamp duty payable under bombay stamp act for agreement of joint venture with foreign comanies for technical assitance and for FDI contirbution in mumbai in India? Do also inform the relevant article of schedule I of bombay stamp act act under which such agreements are covered?

Harassment by member of a company
A member in a sec 25 company keeps on sending letters(relating to the annual report and the functioning powers of the Board) and had also filed a comlaint with the ROC against the companies directors and its functioning....the solicitore replied and reiterated time and again and asked him to excercise his right as per the AOA and come and inspect all the documents with a prior appointment during working hours.he has further gone and sent another set of letters repeting the same thing that he wants all the explanation related to accounts etc in writing.
Is there any provision under the Companies Act or other Acts through which we can restrain him to harassing the Sec 25 Company and its directors?
