Can we directly approach supreme court or high court

Dear Sir/Madam,

Is there any provision to appeal directly to the Supreme Court or High Court for the reopening of a criminal case that was closed around 20 years ago? The person was molested, and police tried to convince him not to press charges during that time. He left the city and was untraceable. Now he has been traced. If possible, then please guide me through the process.
Can we file a writ petition?
Regards!

Foreign will & probate

My uncle died in UK leaving a will. His daughter was made the sole Legatee/beneficiary of his House property in Chennai. This daughter/Legatee & a son were named as Executors of the will. The son as a named executor applied for Probate in UK & has been granted Probate.
Now, the scene shifts to India & more specifically to the Madras High Court. My query is- On the basis of the Will & the Probate granted in UK, can the Beneficiary/Legatee appoint me as her Attorney to seek Letter of Administration and all other related work connected with the disposal of the property & repatriation of the sale proceeds to her London Bank A/c. Thanks.

Seller of house filled one time lease amount, what does it mean?

I recently bought a house, the land was on lease from the Jaipur Development Authority. Around 6 years back, this land (which belonged to the JDA) was under encroachment (kabza), and the government at that time allowed such people to get a legal right on such lands. Then it was converted to a (99 years) leasehold land, which was initiated by the seller. Everything was approved and legal.

2 years back seller paid the one time lease amount and got a certificate. It states that so and so house is free from any lease payment in the future, but the term (like 99 years etc) is not written in it.

The seller claims that this certificate means that the land is VIRTUALLY FREEHOLD, and we don't have to bother about the lease even after the term of 99 years. I am confused about this. I don't seek to take any actions, just for clarification. It didn't affect my judgement for buying the house.

Thanks in advance.

Hello All
I wish to know that why bank ask two sureties when giving claim amount of deceased person to legal heirs after receiving affidavit and indemnity letter from claimants. After all its not loan that bank needed any surety. These days friends and relatives dont come forward for sureties, if person could not arrange sureties, is there any other option or person will not get the money at all unless he brings the sureties. Claim amount is less then 1.5lakh.
