one person has purchased shop.he has also alloted a parking area.the said person has paid money for it.whether stamp duty is required to be paid on it?if yes at what rate.

The price must have been included inthe said consideration.
If that is the case then you are to pay the stamp duty together.
if its separate, then pay the duty separately.

If he paid separate consideration for the parking lot then it is always advisable to go thorough the sale deed to verify whether the seller is transferring the parking lot also or not. Generally the builders will collect separate price for the parking but when coming to the registration they will not show the same in the registered documents which will lead to complications in the future.
