Domestic Violence

(Querist) 20 March 2010 This query is : Resolved
i just wanted to know in the Domestic Violence Act 2005 can a female who is not related to the applicant nor any of the other respondents by relation nor shaing the household can be made party in Domestic Violence proccedings as a one of the respondent.

Parveen Kr. Aggarwal (Expert) 20 March 2010
How such a female can be made a respondent more particularly what allegations can be levelled against her and what relief can be claimed against her?
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 20 March 2010
No. Even if such lady has been impleaded, an application on her behalf should be moved instantly even without her presence by her authorized person seeking deletion of her name from the array of respondents as it is entirely an abuse of process of law.
Arvind Singh Chauhan (Expert) 20 March 2010
