Name mistake in patta

MY FATHER BOUGHT LAND IN 1989. AT THAT TIME THE HAND WRITTEN PATTA NAME IS CORRECT. IN THE ONLINE PATTA THE NAME HAS BEEN CHANGED AND THE AREA OF THE SQ.FT ALSO CHANGED. PLEASE GIVE THE SOLUTION SIR, IAM IN CHENNAI

It may be typing mistake. Get latest copy of patta from local revenue office.

It might have been fed online. But you shall submit an application to the RDO/SDO(Divisional Revenue Officials) along with a copy of the sale deed by Registered Post.

Yes, it is a mistake. Every authority is bound to correct errors and omissions.

If you have proof of the correct name in the handwritten Patta, you may enclose the copy of the same and tender an application to the Tehsildar seeking his intervention and rectification of the error found in the computer patta.
