I am an central government employee . I can be a member of Society registered under Society registration act 1860.

Yes.But if you want to become an office bearer, you should get permission from the department.

Yes. An employee may be joined in a society with which activities are not against law.

What is the aim and objective of the Society ?
You can not become office bearer without prior permission of your HoD.
