Land commissioner tried to change my caste in ror patta.

(Querist) 26 August 2019 This query is : Resolved
Respected Madam/Sir,

My forefathers (Paternal) property acquired by business 43.97 Acres in Odissa. The land was agreed to sell to another person in the year 1979. As we are belonging to ST by caste, the land was not sold to agreed person as they are belonging to Brahmin community. Whereas, the land given on lease to them, instead of sale . Now their claim is we are not belonging to ST. Hence, they have applied in the office of Land commissioner that in the ROR Patta my caste to be changed as BC. Land commissioner issued a notice to us, in reply to which we have asked time to produce our caste documents. Land commissioner not given time and closed the case stating that in ROR Patta caste name wrongly entered during 1960. Now we have the proof of document from Hon'ble Muncif court that my grand father belonging to ST.

Kindly help me in the above matter.

The change in caste was done by the land commissioner without jurisdiction.File a cse that it was wantonly done to the detriment of yoir right.

Do you have caste certificate? If so, what is there?
Whether the land has been leased to ST only?
It would be advisable to consult a local prudent lawyer for appreciation of facts/documents, guidance and proceeding.
