No law in India binds you to remain at home, if you don't want to.

You are an adult individual who can choose your own destiny and take your own decisions regarding yourself.
AKSHANSH SINGHAL (Expert) 22 June 2018
Yes, You can, being an adult and take decision for yourself.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 22 June 2018
Agreed.

You can.
rajeev sharma (Expert) 22 June 2018
Yes you may leave the patronage of your parents if you are able to take your own care. In a recent case Kerla high Court has observed majority does not necessarily carry maturity
Ms.Usha Kapoor (Expert) 23 June 2018
Being a major you can come out of your parents protective wings and choose your own path of living.
Ms.Usha Kapoor (Expert) 23 June 2018
I stick to my above view.

Mr. Rajeev Sharma probably wanted to rightly point out ‘society err in confusing maturity with majority’
as pointed out by court;
IN THE HIGH COURT OF KERALA AT ERNAKULAM PRESENT: THE HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE K.VINOD CHANDRAN & THE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ASHOK MENON WEDNESDAY, THE 13TH DAY OF JUNE 2018 / 23RD JYAISHTA, 1940 WP(C).No. 15192 of 2018 PETITIONER(S) XXX BY ADVS.SRI.SHABU SREEDHARAN SRI.P.R.VIBHU SMT.NIDHI RAVINDRAN SRI.M.YOHANNAN SRI.D.THILAKAN SMT.RESHMA ABDUL RASHEED RESPONDENT(S): 1. THE CITY POLICE COMMISSIONER, OFFICE OF THE CITY POLICE COMMISSIONER, KOZHIKODE - 673 004. 2. THE SUB INSPECTOR OF POLICE BEYPORE POLICE STATION, KOZHIKODE 673 015. 3. AKHIL.V AGED 26 YEARS, S/O.ANIL KUMAR, VALLATTIL HOUSE, BEYPORE P.O., KOZHIKODE 673 015.

“We have to say this much, especially looking at the various other instances which come before this Court and as responsible citizens as also parents, we cannot but express our anguish. Free thought and independent action has its significance in the advancement of human communities; but the pitfalls of life cannot be ignored and the role of parents in guiding young minds; though having attained the legal age of majority cannot be discounted. We as a society err in confusing maturity with majority.”
