Hi
Understand effective 1/1/2016, an amendment was issued to then existing law enabling A Non Agriculturist can buy Agricultural land in Maharashtra
I like to know whether it is a fact ?
I AM A NON AGRICULTURIST AND IF IT IS TRUE !I LIKE TO BUY AGRICULTURAL LAND FOR AGRICULTURAL PURPOSE ( NOT FOR ANY NON-AGRICUlURAL PURPOSES) IN MAHARASHTRA

As per Amendment of adding subsection to Sec.63 of MTAL, a non-agriculturist can buy an Agricultural land on certain conditions. so consult a local lawyer having knowledge in this type of nature and also Revenue/muncipal authorities.

A non-agriculturist can now buy agricultural land
Previously in the State of Maharashtra, India, a non-agriculturist could not acquire agricultural land without the prior approval of the Collector. On 1 January 2016, an amendment was made to the existing law to allow a non-agriculturist to acquire agricultural land subject to certain conditions.
