Compromising cross cases

(Querist) 01 November 2017 This query is : Resolved
In 2015, there was a quarrel between my family and a neighbour. We both filed cross case. In 2016, the neighbour attacked with weapon and I filed a new case against them u/s 307. During the passage of time, the neighbour tried and convinced us for compromise. The second case u/s 307 was finished in high court directly with compromise between two parties. Now in the first case which is a cross case, I have been asked by Govt lawyer that in the court we have to tell that there were no body wounded and it was just a mis understanding. Does this true? My lawyer also tells me that for cross case in the court, both parties should tell this. I don't want to tell lie that the matter was wrong. Yes, it is true that we now compromise for what happened earlier duebto involvement of our elders to compromise. Kindly guide whether in cross case, should we tell that what happened was wrong?

Compromise is accepted by both parties after settling all pending cases, you will agree. Is it possible one of the two cases are settled and other is still going on??
Complaint case u/s 307 IPC is non-compoundable and can not be compromised/settled amicably, that too before High Court??
Unbelievable story.

Just last week Supreme Court has delivered a judgment in a SLP, where compromise was not accepted as a judgment of the Court.
