I am a government employe working since 4 yrs, generally as an employe one has to put his signature on papers related to his work profile. But what if be the consequences if i used different signature on those papers, although i used 2-3 diferent style of signature the one which i used in the beginning of my job is different from my present signature.
Is different signature is acceptable in Service if i commit that all the signature which i used to put is mine.
Please do give response and help me regarding this.

No law violated till you accept the signatures as yours.

Generally signatures should not be changed. Some departments have facility to change signatures after approval from competent authority. In Banks signatures are of great importance and can invite forgery due to frequent changes. Problem may arise if the authorized signatory signatures differ to the recorded signatures.

If you have not faced any problem till date, discontinue such practice.

You may inform your department that you have used 2-3 signatures previously and now using present signatures.

Sir,in my department there is the provision of allocating Gbpa Nos after completion of 2 yrs of service but till date i have not applied for Gbpa no,and the present signature which i m using is since last 1 yrs.
Will my past signature which i used is valid in law or in my service?

what is your intention of signing differently at different official documents.

are you interested in committing fraud and then hiding identity?

In official work your signature is your identity. If you are using different signatures to sign different documents there is something wrong with your personality. Legally nothing is wrong till you owe the liability of the act you done under different signatures and accepts those signature as yours own.

Normally in Government service whatever way you had put the signature first time that shall be maintained till you are in service. Like in Banks the signature shall remain the same throughout. Merely saying or committing all these signatures are your own will not suffice and will not be accepted as per Government Service rules and Conduct rules. You cannot request your controlling officer to accept these changes as such acceptance by him will make or hold him responsible for any future complication that arise. In view of these you refrain from changing your signatures style or changing the nature of it as it would invite unnecessary complications to you. Do you wish to face such actions from Government side as every such action will find a place in your personal file and other service records as well as your confidential dossiers written every year.

Agreed with Experts.
You have worked for 4Y.
Let the said Gbpa number be issued.
Maintain same signature.

The issue is your own creation. As there are no legal elements involved, no suggestion is possible or required.

How much less salary you will get by not juggling signatures.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 03 October 2017
You will not get a penny less if you keep one signature and get said Gbpa number.

What is the legal dispute involved in this debatable academic topic, wherein you require opinion and and advise from experts on this platform?? It is sheer abuse of this site.
