Stamp duty paid invalid by registrar

My friend had made development agreement in may 2014 and for the documents he had made payment of stamp duty and registration behalf of partnership firm, and same duty have been shown on stamp duty document in his own name, now registrar raised demand notice that stamp duty paid by partner name is invalid, it has to pay on partnership firm name, agreement made as SARITA REALTORS for MR. Ravi and stamp duty page show only MR. Ravi. So what will be the remedy to avoid the double stamp duty ?

No need to pay double stamp duty.. the person who paid the stamp duty has relevance with the company, as he acted on behalf of the company.

Did you obtain the receipt from the sub registrar? if so show him the receipt of payment of stamp duty.

Has registrar raised the objection in writing, if so discuss with local lawyer and move legally.

The objection has no value in the eyes of law because the stamp duty has been pad on behalf of partnership firm through its one of the partners so there is no flaw on your side.

Reply n writing the written objections, if raised and if not, demand in writing.
