Graduation while working as a government employee

(Querist) 02 August 2016 This query is : Resolved
Sir,
In the final year of Graduation(Regular) I joined Central Government Service. Sir I passed Graduation also with the prior permission from my department and included my Degree in Service Book also. Now I got to know that my attendance was short during the final year of graduation. But as my College has issued admit card I appeared after getting permission of employer.
Now I want to give graduation base competitive exams. Will it create any problem later. And what should I say in interview if asked about the same. Please help me sir.

If the degree has not been struck off then what are your apprehensions!

Mr. Manish Verma,

For hypothetical academic case any hypothetical statement can do with the new future hypothetical employer.

It is any body's guess that after joining service, no employer would give permission for regular course, as against your statement, "In the final year of Graduation(Regular) I joined Central Government Service. Sir I passed Graduation also with the prior permission from my department."

A question arises, how you could attend a regular course during your duty hours, while working in a Central Government department?

Also, since when the colleges have been delegated with the powers to issue admit card on behalf of the university to appear in the exam and that too for final academic year? In that case graduate degree would also have been issued by the college, itself, instead of the university! Is not it?

It is not possible. You can do it by correspondence ONLY.

If you have received the degree, attendance are no problem.

Sir,
After joining the deptt. my intension was to pursue another degree course but after 3 months of joining I was issued admit card from the university. After which I applied for permission from the Department which was given on the ground that I would have completed my attendance at college then only I was issued Admit Card from University.
Sir, I was ready to pursue another degree course as I was not in a position to resign due to financial problem. But as University issued admit card therefore I appeared in the final examination. Even Degree was also issued by the University. Sir, who is wrong in this scenario. How can I be held responsible as it is the duty of college/university to calculate the attendance.

I am not able to agree with Mr Bharat.

unless you are consciously hiding material facts no trouble is visualized on the basis of given facts.

It is ground reality that :-

(i) deptt gave you permission for regular course. The authorities in deptt are best judge as to how/why this permission was given. The permission could have been withdrawn had you neglected in duties.

(ii) university being convinced of attendance position issued degree to you. The authorities in university are best judge as to how/why they were conviced that the admit card and the degree was given.

(iii) degree is added in service book.

So please spell out clearly giving clear facts to to what is the problem you anticipate.

Apparently you applied for a degree course, and appeared for same degree course.

Or you want to convey that:

you applied for a degree course, and appeared for another degree course.
