Procedure of Transfer of property

Hello ! I am having property in taluka of jalgaon district in my father name . My father and mother both expired without will . How to transfer the property in my name . We are 3 brothers and one elder brother also expired

All the legal heirs of your parents shall execute relinquishment deed releasing their rights in favour of yourself or they may execute a gift deed in your favour.

The property is jointly vested in all the siblings and legal heirs of the deceased siblings. You can get their property through transfer, gift etc.

Meet the revenue official/concerned official of the authority under whose jurisdiction the property falls and inquire about the procedure.

First of all get Legal heir certificate ( the revenue official may agree to accept even affidavit duly attested by Ex. Magistrate),death certificate and apply to get property mutated in names of all Legal Heirs. Get copy of transfer by inheritance.


Once all have attained the status equal to that of owner they can relinquish/gift/sell/transfer/release etc by a valid and registered deed.
