Process of mediation

judge has referred money suit filed by me "referred for mediation". Can anyone guide me the process how mediation works? who will appoint mediator? Timeline for mediator to finish the case? If no settlement arrived, what will be next course of action?

Here the mediator would try to settle the dispute amicably if both parties so agree.
If settlement does not happen the suit would start once again.

The mediator would try to settle the dispute in acceptable findings to the parties.

If mediation fails, court would decide on merits.

IF PARTIES SETTLE BEFORE MEDIATOR, IT FOLOWS DECREE & ORDER BASED ON CONSENT TERMS, IF NOT, THEN NEGATIVE REPORT LEAD TO LEGAL PROCEEDING AS IT WAS ON MERIT.

USUALLY 15 DAYS TO A MONTH, OR COURT MAY WAIT FOR LOK ADALAT
