YOu have to approach a consumer forum to claim compensation from a lawyer for defficiency of service. However i can help you out if you give some more details of your case.

Lawyers are usually clients mouth piece, they go by your instruction, if there is difficulty they would have explained it to you. Why a compensation. You have engaged at your discretion, can you complain now.
