Sir,
I am a central govt. servant. My query is that if my brother(business man) purchase a flat and I become co-owner in that flat, in that situation whether any permission is required from the department and if so please quote the relevant rule.
Thanking you sir
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate Online (Expert) 13 August 2014
you have to inform the deptt within one month on prescribed proforma.

If the deal is with a person with whom you have official dealings then prior permission will be needed.
