Fir progress status

Sir I. Have registered a FIR on 7th June 2014.police has taken my statements,site has been seen,map has been made with my signatures and I have given all relevant documents and agreement to police.I don't HV NY idea as to what police is doing with accused nor they are telling me.what should I do to know the status?should I file RTI at this stage?

yes, you can file or apply for status report from the concerned magistrate.

My suggestion is approach the investigation officer to know the status of the investigation, if he is not cooperating, get those information through RTI.

There wont be any problem in using RTI Act.

It is hardly a month or little more after the FIR being registered and the investigations are still going on. what is the curiosity about the case so soon?, the police will take inordinate time to complete the investigation and submit the case file before the court, if you are anxious about it, you may either visit the police station and enquire about the progress personally or get the information through RTI.

Sir I m anxious bcoz police is not investigating the matter in right direction in the light of facts.

It is not only in your case, in almost all the cases where the police have not been taken care of with graft considerations, they tend to be lethargic, it is not an isolated incidence, it happens every where across the length and breadth of the country and this bad fate has eclipsed the country, hence go by it.

Sir I all not let police do wrongdoings.. I all fight for my rights as a citizen and make them duty bound and accountable to public.
