Wasn't home during passport post pv .... can I travel??

Hi experts, I got my passport renewed under tatkal scheme. ....and at the time of police verification (which is usually done after the delivery of passport), I wasn't home......I was out of town for 8 to 10 days......and officer in charge has submitted an adverse report for my passport.......so my question is can I travel till another notice from police station or passport office??
And will immigration guys make fuss out there on airport during my departure....as I have a trip coming up in a week's time...please help!!!

apply for police verification once again.

Before you leave the country, approach the passport authorities and give a written explanation for your absence during the police verification.

If there is any adverse remarks on you, other than your absence, give appropriate reply.

This will resolve your problem.

Agreed, if the adverse report by police has reached the passport authority, automatically the immigration department will be alerted, thereby it will become difficult to pass through immigration clearance if intended to travel abroad, hence, better sort out the issues locally with the passport office and be free.
