Property in ooty

My self and 2 of my friends have purchased a property in ooty, please advice list of documents i need to take it from the seller (name of the seller is http://www.msep-projects.com). as of now they are ready to give us a joint power of attoreny. please let me know how can we secure further.

1st thing whether you and your friends are intending to purchase a property or already purchased one?

if you people are intending to purchase a property, you have to secure the sale deed of the seller and link documents also. Apply for EC and verify whether there are any registered mortgages on teh property or not. Cause publish a publication in the local paper about your intention to purchase the property from the seller. Go to local revenue office and verify the survey number in teh seller's document is tallied with the actual land shown to you are not. You can get this information by verifying the FMB (Field Measurement Book)with the revenue officials.

If you have purchased the property already then putup a sign board in the property and see to that you have got all the documents as mentioned above.

you have not stated whether it is agriculure property or house property or site property or estate, the documents y ou need to verify depends on the nature of the property
