Fir and service

Guest (Querist) 10 April 2014 This query is : Resolved
An FIR was registered against me 4 years earlier. Though i know that i was not involved but mine name was delierately put in the FIR with the objective of destroying mine career as i was little good student. I came to know about that FIR last year. Though i have not received any notice from court and police. I am now seeking government employment. Mine question is whether this FIR will affect mine career in government job? How should i deal with it ?

if there is any declaration in your joining and the dept. want information regarding crime and you hide this then due to wrong declaration your job can be lost.

It may effect if allegations are grave and involve allegation of moral turpitude.
All the best.

Before getting job if police verification found that your name is in FIR which related to facing criminal cases cannot be considered suitable for appointment in government service unless acquitted of the charges.

Well advised by the experts, agree to it.

I slightly disagree with Mr Barman

it will affect.

it will effect regardless the charges.

It is hard to believe that you did not know all through four years.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 14 April 2014
You have to mention about the pending FIR against you and it status in the application or affidavit for employment purpose. If you happened to suppress and if the same has been found on verification by the report of police who are required to report about the character and antecedents of the prospective employee, your employment will be at stake besides attracting other criminal offences against you. So better think about it now itself.

agreed with Mr Kalaiselvan
