(Querist) 04 December 2013 This query is : Resolved
There is a sheeted criminal in our locality who keeps threatening my family. Is there a way that we can do 'Peshbandi' etc so that in future if my family is harmed he will be held accountable? What is the leagl provision for doing such pre-emptive arrangement?

Send the complaints by Registered post to the Police Commissioner or Suprindent of police marking copy to the local police station Inspector. You dont go in person until they call you You explain all your difficulties and threats in the letter and also mention that yourself and family members are not able to come out of the house the complaint is being forwarded by post. They would take action. If they dont respond within 14 days of sending the letter file a private complaint and take the court directions to initiate police action against the complaint,Still if you want you could give a news paper advt thro your advocate or by yourself if any thing happens to the life of yourself or family members the history sheeter ONLY would be responsible

Though you have sought legal advice regarding steps to be taken, I would endorse the advise of expert narasimha ji.

Legal way takes time and cost and gives tension.
