Tenent harrsed by Real state broker/agent

Hi,

Kindly read and help with your valuable comments..

Thane District in mumbai . A indian citizen hired a flat through one of broker and first year given increment 10% second year broker said before 10days of renewal ok will renew but at the the time of sign he just said no you have to vacant the flat because owner is coming for staying .

Serval request he is just given 10days times to search and set.

After 5days he called to the tenent that vacant immediate OR PAY 25% more for next year .

So finally tenent agreed to pay and one notary copy made .

Can he lodge such type of comlain ? If yes then please suggest under which section and process . In this regard tenent also may required safety ,protection , from police.

To whom and through whom the owner would let is his/her choice.

To agree or not with him is your choice.

Why did you agree to raise rent @25%.

It was possible for you to refuse !

I think duration term of tenancy is only 11
months.

Next time either change premises or disagree for enhancement of rent.

Forcefully he can not dispossess you.
he will serve a notice on you, ask you to vacate,failing which a suit of eviction
would come against you and your eviction would shape finally over decades should you decide to contest.

Choice is above and not in filing any FIR
for an agreement signed.

Since you have signed and agreed for the agreement you will have less chances to win if challenged by you. Expert prabhakar singh ji has given very practical advise, do full home work before implementation, discuss all pros and cons and if dare to proceed, proceed.
