Insanity case

A friend of mine who is suffering from schizophrenia (mental illness) had a fight with a friend and ended up hurting him by mistake. Police have registered 307 case. Should he now fight the case on the basis of insanity plea or how should he fight it. I have given the details of the case, now kindly advise how to help him. He is quite poor. So all you experienced gentlemen can help.

Rajaramana! The lawyer of your friend should take the plea of insanity if the same can very well be proved by way of documentary evidence.
