Meeting regarding noc for the sale of flat

On sunday I am meeting the managing committee regarding the status of my application for NOC. as I had stated earlier that they are demanding a letter from me in which I have to write that the society can take any legal action it deems fit against me and that I have no dues of the society. As far as dues are concerned we are clear but the legal point I do not agree as they will use it against us. As far as I know I am under no obligation to give them such a letter I do not wish to give them such a letter. How can I argue my point in front of the managing committee that what they are demanding from me is I would say in a way illegal... This meeting is the make or break for me... because if I don't get the NOC I will have to tell the purchaser to back off from the deal otherwise he will suffer because of me... I think the managing committee is using high handed behavior towards us they are trying to corner us.

society as it is at liberty to take legal proceedings aginst you . give no dues letter and agree that in event of any breach of obligations by you society can take legal proceedings
