My brother's daughter had an affair with a boy some time back.It seems the affair was appeared to be close.However now she is not interested since she does not like the behavior of the boy.The boy threatens her very frequently.The matter was made known to the girl's parents.The girl is aged around 24 years.Can the boy compel the girl to marry him under any law even though the girl does not like to marry him now.What legal action can be taken against the boy for his frequent threatening of the girl.kindly advise

her father may file a police complaint against that boy. and get writtenly from the boy not disturbing the girl.

No! The boy can not compel the girl to marry him.Marriage is arrived on free consent of both the parties.

Girl should lodge an FIR about her harassment
by the boy.
