Law on possesion

sir we have possesion on agri land for last 30-35 yrs. but that agri land is not on my name. pls tell me the rule with rule no. which help me to record my possesion in govt. records

No length of possession can make you the owner - unless the possession has been adverse and hostile to the real owner. For eg : If you have claimed title against the real owner and deny his title for 12 years, without he agitating his right to recover in the court. Then only you can mutate the property in your name after obtaining a suit for declaration.
