SOCIETY CHAIRMAN WANT TO GIVE RESIGNATION FROM THE POST OF CHAIRMAN.
AND NOW MC APPOINTED NEW MEMBER AS A CHAIRMAN

MY QUERY IS , IS MANAGING COMMITTEE CAN APPOINTED CHAIRMAN , WITHOUT TAKING AGM OR OTHER SEPCIAL GENERAL MEETING WITH GENERAL MEMBERS.
CAN ONLY MANAGING COMMITTEE CAN TAKE SUCH TYPES OF DECISION .

As you elect only Mg committee.
Chairman is not selected or elected in AGM.

YES: MANAGING COMMITTEE CAN APPOINTED CHAIRMAN , WITHOUT TAKING AGM OR OTHER SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING WITH GENERAL MEMBERS.

agree with Mr shroff. MC elects chairman . on his resignation it can elect another member of Mc as Chairamn

You could better have gone through the byelaws of the society, which is expected to clearly spell out about election/ appointment of chairman and other executives of the society or making arrangement on resignations.

However, you should not forget that the MC is made for making decisions on behalf of the general membership. Only policy matters are decided in AGM.
