1. As you correctly understand your marriage stands and the second marriage is null and void. But still you can file a declaratory suit whereby youd seek the court to declare you the lawfully wedded wife of your husband since you were married first.

2. Your husband and his relatives who knowingly married him off knowing he was already married would also be liable for offence of bigamy which can be initiated by second wife.

3. 498A/420 is also made out in the facts of the case.
