If a Father and son are practising as Advocates .Are they liable to pay Service Tax and whether they come under the definition of "Association of Persons".
Whether the applicability of Service tax on legal firms has been duly notified or not ?

The Finance bill has stated that S T is applicable to Firms, if you are a partnership firm with you and your father as partners then it shall apply, the finance bill is yet to get assent of the president, the applicability will be from the date of the assent, further, S T will be taxable if your annual fee receipts cross 10 Lakhs per annum, you can register under this act only after you cross the Rs.9 lacs mark.
