under infermation act, can we get infermation regarding partnership business accounts in which iam the leagle hirer of the diesesed partner.How shoud we apply .kindly guid me sir.

Dear Srinivasan,
You cannot avail right under RTI Act, further, as legal heir you are entitled and you can get account copies of the firm, approach the managing partner and ask him to furnish details of the firm. Kindly refer S 9 which is reproduced under for your convienence:
9. General Duties of partners- Partners are bound to carry on
the business of the firm to the greatest common advantage, to be just
and faithful to each other, and to render true accounts and full
information of all things affecting the firm to any partner or his legal
representative.

RTI Act is not applicable to private firms or companies. So you have to demand accounts as suggested by mr. Vishal. Similarly, if the partners do not give the accounts, you can file a civil suit for rendition of accounts and also for recovery of profits and other dues, if any.

You have right to demand the accoutns and apportionment of the profits and assets of the firm as legla heir of the deceseaed partner .

As a legal heir you have the right to know the accounts. But before that please see whether the deceased partner appointed you as a legal heir in the partner ship firm or he appointed any other legal heirs? Or he dies intestate?
