Divorce between Christian Husband and Hindu wife

A male christian married to Hindu female as per the marriage tradintions of both relegions, and got marriage registered with appropriate authority.
Q. Husband wanted to divorce wife?What shall husband do to get divorce from the Court.Which law to be applicable for divorce proceedings, either Hindu Law or Christian Law?

as per special marriage act, the divorce petition to be initiated and instituted.

Under Section 27 of the Special Marriage Act 1954, either of husband or wife can file a petition for divorce to the District court subject to the grounds met with mentioned therein.

Since both are from different religion, the marriage between them only be registered under Special marriage Act.

Divorce option will be only be under the Act.

in other situatio the petition would lie under the indian divorce act.
