Constitution gives power to parliament to make all legislations. This includes retrospective legislations. However, courts are empowered to review them under judicial review as to whether the retrospective legislations are legally valid.

The Constitution of India, gives power under Art 368, to the parliament, to make all legislations.

However, courts are empowered to review them under judicial review as to whether the retrospective legislations are legally valid or not, in the light of Art 20(1).
