Dear Mr. Srivastava,
Doesn't matter, the marrige may have been performed out of India, if the marrige is performed as per Hindu rites and customs between two hindus, and the parties at any point of time resided within the jurisdiction of marriage registrar for a period of at least 30 days, then the marriage may be registered.
If either or both of the parties to marriage are other than hindus, then it has to be solemnized as per the Special Marriage Act, and could be registered before the Marrige Registrar as per the Special Marriage Act.
