Adverse possession

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 30 August 2011 This query is : Resolved
Here is the issue, TN govt. Issue the Notification under Harjian welfare Department for Land Acquisition, Notice Issued to acquire land for Housing colony for ST/ST, Land is are in Agriculture lands adjacent to ST/SC colony, Objection raised by Land owners for compensation amount, But the authority deposited the awarded money in the Local Court in the year of 1980, and the Land owner's also registered the case in the year of 1981 demanding Higher compensation amount, The case pending in the same court last more then 25 years,
and then later the same kind of cases held in the SC for some final verdict..
Sup. Court seems dismissed the Land acquisition act of TN, some points on the act is against constitutional..
After the final verdict on the SC, The case filed in the court also dismissed, but in between some land owner's received the compensation amount from the Court, because No for solution and some of the owner's died also..
But the interesting part of the original Land that is acquired by Govt.. Not used, the records shows still original owners, The actual possession with Original owners, No actual cultivation of land, but still showing the Owner of the Land is same as original owners.
My mother give me gift deed that properties also showing on my mother name, and then I transferred the patta on my name. Now Revenue record shows on my name.. But what is the impact of the Govt. mis-management. The original funds for Land acquisition came from Central Govt.. on the account of ST/SC welfare.. but No offer from the Govt. side able to tell me about this issue.
Please guide me how to move future with this issue..
What is mean by Adverse possesion..? If govt' again trouble me what kind of action I can take..?
Thanks.

When the ACT itself scrapped by Apex court,All acquisitions with compensation paid or unpaid, became void then and there and property stood restored back to original owners.
Those who received compensation can be asked to pay back by return by due process of law,a suit or an enactment authorizing government to realize back as arrears of land revenue ,or otherwise,as the case may be.
