There is no provision in Family court Act for solemnisation of marriages.

Dear Sanjayji,
I could not read the competency of the FC to solemnized a marriage like marriage Officer, but yet this practise is going on in my State. But thank you for the confirmation.

Neither the Family Courts Act nor any other act empowers the Family Court for the solemnization of marriages.

there is no provision in any court regarding court marriage, in ordinary language people is saying that marriage performed in the sub registrarar who is also known as marriage office is called court marriage

the family court, can not solemnise the marriages, of any religion, under which it has no provision in the family court act,1984 of which can be stated as an ultravires.
