No normal time but one condition for getting divorce is ;
Desertion – If one of the spouses voluntarily abandons his/her partner for at least a period of 2 years, the abandoned spouse can file a divorce case on the ground of desertion.
section 13,
(viii) has not resumed cohabitation for a space of two years or upwards after the passing of a decree for judicial separation against that party;

No resumption of co-habitation for one year after the decree of judicial separation, no restitution of conjugal rights for one year after decree for restitution of conjugal rights;

For MCD 1 year wait is necessary.
