i want to know that leave encashment paid on basic salary or gross salary

There is no law on leave encashment An organisation can have its own rules regarding leave encashment. However at the time of superannuation an employee is entitiled toget payment for unavailed leave equivalent to wages for the period of leave had he worked during that period.
