Road widening by Muncipal corporation

Sir,

I had an house at Dwarakanagar, Kakinada. recently kakinada municipal corporation has taken up the road widening program and damaged my compound wall with out prior intimation.

is there any provision to restrict the municipality for further damages.

You may file a writ petition in the High Court to restrain further damage.

Give a notice to the muncipality claiming the damages and take legal action it by filing a writ as advised by Vishal.

Agree with Mr. Vishal. But, before that also please verify if the municipality had already issued any notice through any newspaper for general information.

The municipality should give notice, the act of demolition without notice is illegal, you can claim compensation through a writ.
